Orange Coast Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy was founded by John Somerndike DPT, OCS in 2011. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality, individualized care program for each one of our patients. Our therapists are experts in orthopedic physical therapy and specialize in personalized, hands on treatment.
John Somerndike, DPT, MPT, OCS
John received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2007 and his Master of Physical Therapy from Mount St. Mary’s College in 2001. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialist. John has worked as a sports medicine provider for the PGA Champions Tour, for the ESPN X-Games, and as a teaching assistant in the Orthopedic department at Western University School of Physical Therapy. In 2010, John became a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor by the Titleist Performance Institute.
Rudy Martin, MPT
Rudy graduated from California State University at Long Beach in 2011. Rudy brings a strong manual therapy background and enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions. He also enjoys treating vestibular and work related injuries. Rudy has a passion for physical therapy and goes the extra mile for his patients.
Danielle Allison, MPT, CDT/MLD Certified
Danielle received her Master of Physical Therapy from Mount St. Mary's College in 2001. She also is a LANA certified Lymphedema specialist and has worked in orthopedics for over 10 years. Danielle is a strong advocate for her patients and possesses exceptional hands on skills.

We accept Medicare, most major Private PPO Insurance Plans, as well as cash patients. Sorry, we are not in network for Cigna, Cal-Optima and HMO's.
